School Climate Survey - Parent/Guardian Input Opportunity
Panther parents and guardians are requested to provide your feedback through the 2016 School Climate Survey available by clicking here.
Why do we implement the School Climate Survey?
This survey relates to our ongoing efforts to support well‐being and provide positive school experiences for all students. Students in Grades 4 to 12 at all schools in the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board are being asked to participate. School‐based staff and families will also be invited to have their voices heard through similar surveys. This input will assist us in planning forward.
Your opinion matters and we hope that you will take the time to invest in your community school. Thank you in advance.

PECI's Random Acts Of Kindness Nominee
The Violence Awareness and Random Acts of Kindness (VARAK) Program began in 1997 in remembrance of Mark Fyke and in recognition of all victims of violence, especially Becky Middleton and Shawn Keegan. With the help of many, our program has expanded to the communities of Quinte West, Prince Edward County and Stittsville. During our kindness week we promote an awareness of the prevalence of violence in our society and how to counteract the negative effects from it.
PECI is proud to recognize Brooke Hudgin as our Random Acts of Kindness nomination for 2016. #PantherPride #KindnessIsContagious

The Venture Enrichment Program Application 2016
Venture is a unique academic enrichment opportunity for motivated grade 9 and 10 Panthers. The program has in-class and extra-curricular dimensions and will provide students with outstanding preparation for post-secondary life. Students are timetabled together for a minimum of one course per semester to ensure that their learning can extend to and from the classroom. 21st Century skill development will enhance their educational experience beyond the classroom through the use of technology, experiential and hands on activities that encourages collaboration and critical thinking.
Venture can lead to the University Advanced Placement Opportunities in grades 11 and 12 in addition to enrichment certificates. Students selected for this program will have opportunities for many trips that are student funded but participation will be inclusive with financial assistance available if necessary. These trips have included Montreal, Washington and Chicago. Students are required to complete several independent learning opportunities and must also report back to their fellow learners as to what they have done to enrich their own learning.
Venture is a unique Prince Edward Collegiate Institute initiative. We strive to provide all learners with the experiences they will need to ensure success in their future endeavors.
